RESULT AGAINST BLACKSTAR ROASTERS

Here’s an update from last weekend so you know what’s been happening with our Gurkha FC matches. First off a rundown of the Gurkha FC vs. Blackstar Roasters match.

Our team looked capable of scoring in the 1st half with some promising plays coming in from the midfield and wings. We were able to get the ball towards the box from those positions with a couple of good chances missed near the goal. However Blackstar Roasters applied enough pressure to gain the lead soon after, followed by another goal in the half to make it 0-2.

The 2nd half saw the opposition scoring another stinging goal, however we were able to get onto our front foot and hold possession long enough to set up one of our defenders, Sagar Dai, to strike a much needed goal. Gurkha FC had a good attack from then on, with a very good opportunity just missed by our right wing player Sunil at the very end, yet we were only able to hold the other team back to a final score of 1-3, in their favor.  We had plenty of determined players in the team showing fine skills that day ; it certainly looks like with a bit more control over the ball, our passes and with communication on field we can dominate the upcoming fixtures.

Oh yeah, first post by me, so be sure to check back as I’ll be helping Upesh with updating posts in the future. Also go ahead and add any of your comments on our teams performance or any other thoughts you might have.
