Gurkha FC has been invited to take part in the African Nations Cup. Details are as follows:

Eretria, Sudan, Nuba Mountains, Sierra Leonne, Qld Police Service, Lone Star team of Liberian, Zimbabwe Warriors team, Africa United, Gurkha FC, Botswana, Burundi, Congo, Ethiopia- Ethio-Unite Fc, Kenya, Somalia, South Africa

DETAILS:

• 2 day event
• Sunday will be qualifying.
• Monday will be the FINALS & festival fun day [celebration of culture, family, food, music and soccer].
• We will have 4 fields going at ONE time.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK AND CONFIRM YOUR GAMES.

NO TAKEAWAY FOOD ALLOWED:

As Moreton Bay Sports Club has generously offered the venue for FREE, there will be NO takeaway food allowed to be brought into the venue. Moreton Bay Sports Club will have a canteen operating over the two days.

FINALS [FOUR GRAND FINALS] & PRIZES:

The top TWO teams from each group will go through to the quarter finals on the Monday.
There will be TWO grand finals [Premier & Division 1].

NON- ALCOHOL

This is a NON ALCOHOL sporting/community event.

Police will patrol the inner and outer location and Police Liaison officers are rostered at this event.

Any PERSON located with ALCOHOL will be removed from the ground. Any TEAM located with ALCOHOL will be disqualified.

START TIMES

All games STRICTLY Kick-off ON TIME.

Games will start even if there are NOT enough players on the park at the time.

Referees have been instructed games will commence on time of k/o.

NO APOLOGIES will be accepted for late team arrivals.

FIRST AID:

St Johns Ambulance will attend, however each team must have own FIRST AID kit.

DRESSING ROOMS

There will be 8 dressing rooms available for use at Moreton Bay Sports Club.The Dressing room will NOT be locked.

Players are requested to change and take all personal property out of dressing room.

QPS/ Moreton Bay Sports Club will NOT be held responsible for any property left INSIDE the dressing rooms.

Monday      May 3              10.00am – 5.00pm

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• Games will consist of two 20 minute halves with no time added and a 5 MIN half time break (drink) = 45 minute game.
• There will be UNLIMITED interchanges.
• Quarter Finals: In the event of a draw then penalties will decide the winner.
• Semi Finals: In the event of a draw then penalties will decide the winner.
• GRAND FINAL – In the event of a draw then penalties will decide the winner
• Penalties APPLY for red card sanctions. (Player will miss following game).
