2010 World Refugee Day Community Festival Soccer tournament
2010 World Refugee Day Community festival Soccer tournament will be played on Sunday the 27th of June 2010 at the Annerley Soccer club. Gurkha FC has been invited to participate.
NOTE - Due to the large numbers of teams in last year’s World Refugee Day Soccer tournament it has been decided that there will be a qualifying day on Sunday the 20th of June 2010 at the Moreton Bay Sports Club, Boundary Street, Tingalpa [Wolves Soccer club]. Therefore, Quarter, Semi and Grand finals will be played on the 2010 World Refugee Day Community festival on Sunday the 27th of June 2010 at the Annerley Soccer club.
2010 World Refugee Day QUALIFYING – Sunday the 20th of June 2010
- Games will consist of two 25 minute halves with no time added and a 5 min half time break (drink). After the first 25 minute period, teams are to swap ends. No extra time in fixtures. (1 hour games).
- REFEREES have been told ALL GAMES will and MUST start game on TIME.
- GOAL difference is crucial, so if a team is LATE, referees WILL start the game.
- There will be UNLIMITED interchanges.
- There is also an award for FAIR PLAY so accuracy of yellow/red cards WILL be taken by ALL officials.
- Penalties APPLY for red card sanctions. (Player will miss following game).
2010 World Refugee Day FINALS – Sunday the 27th of June 2010
- Quarter Final games will consist of two 25 minute halves with no time added and a 5 MIN half time break (drink). After the first 25 minute period, teams are to swap ends. In the event of a draw then penalties will decide the winner.
- Semi Finals: In the event of a draw then penalties will decide the winner.
- GRAND FINAL – 10 min e/t + Golden goal + penalties
- There will be UNLIMITED interchanges.
- There is also an award for FAIR PLAY so accuracy of yellow/red cards WILL be taken by ALL officials.
- Penalties APPLY for red card sanctions. (Player will miss following game).
